XRS™ Connect Voice Playback enables users to record all voice transmissions received from other radios. Ideal for noisy cabins or for users who are in and out of their vehicles, this feature makes missing transmissions an issue of the past.

XRS™ Connect Voice Playback records and stores the first 30 seconds of each received transmission, with a total recording time of 12 minutes. This exciting feature is available in every XRS™ Connect model through the XRS™ Connect App

  • When playback begins, the radio begins with the most recent recording. If you scroll back through the list to an older recording, it will play that recording and then work its way through the list to the most recent recording. You can use the up/down keys to scroll through the list of recordings.
  • On selecting each recording, the radio’s screen displays the following:
  • Name of the recording.
  • Elapsed time since the recording was made (If the radio is switched off, this information will be no longer be available when the radio is switched on).
  • The GMRS channel on which the recording was made.
  • Recording also works when the radio is in the Active Mute mode.

XRS™ Connect Active Mute allows users to manually mute the radio when receiving a phone call to their mobile phone. The XRS™ Connect App is able to detect incoming phone calls and automatically mute the XRS™ Connect radio for the duration of the call, ensuring uninterrupted phone conversations.

XRS™ Connect Active Mute uses smartphone and Bluetooth technology to either mute or lower the XRS™ Connect radio volume automatically when the user makes or receives a phone call. This allows the user to focus on their conversation rather than manually adjusting the volume on the XRS™ Connect radio.

CrewTalk is a new XRS feature that allows you to automatically configure pre-defined Net-Scan lists. As with regular Net-Scan, the benefit is that a group of users can have communications with far less chance of being blocked by outsiders, or hearing unwanted transmissions from outsiders.

When CrewTalk is configured, normal scan functionality is overridden. Whenever scanning is started by pressing the SCAN button, CrewTalk will be active. The radio display will indicate that XRS CrewTalk scan is active, and indicate the Group number that is being used. If other radios in the group are configured to enable

CrewTalk with the same Group number, and they are scanning, the radios in the group can communicate with limited outsider interference, using Net-Scan in a transparent way.

The Dual Watch mode allows you to monitor two channels at the same time. While in dual watch mode, the unit will monitor both the working channel and the last selected priority channel.0

XRS Connect Radios feature Bluetooth connectivity to enable connection to the XRS Connect smartphone app.

The XRS™ Connect App for Android and iOS offers a number of additional features, exclusive to the XRS™ Connect range of radios.

The XRS™ Connect App allows users to easily manage radio settings, download firmware updates, and create custom scan lists.
